The Governors' Guard Battalion is located in Wallace Rider Farrington High School in Kalihi. The "Governors' Guard" Battalion was established in September 1946, ten years after Farrington High School was established. In the 50's and 60's, Farrington High School was called "The Longest Brown Line" for its largest JROTC program in the nation. They also was known as "The Silver Sabers" for their well-known Saber Honor Guard. In 2016 Farrington JROTC Program was the first program to receive the City and County of Honolulu flag for their school.
